Shepard Fairey’s HOPE portrait heading to the Smithsonian

Shepard Fairey has landed himself in the history books. His Obama HOPE portrait was on of the most memorable images from the 2008 election. Now, that same portrait is heading to the Smithsonian. The portrait will be housed in National Portrait Gallery, titled “Barack Obama,” and will be on view at the Portrait Gallery by Inauguration Day.
